  1. Dear Rema Nair, Dr.Sreekala Vasudevan, Latha Ajit, Meena Unni, Sneha Jacob, Au Rames, Asha Kurup,Udaya Rani,Veena Sabari,Geena Anand,

You may be aware that on December 8 2009, we in Massachusetts will be electing a senator for the US Senate. I am seeking your vote, support and help to elect Alan Khazei who is a grassroots organizer of City Year in Boston. Alan is the son of an immigrant from Iran and has the potential to be a game-changing U.S. Senator, a senator who can build and lead coalitions and marshall citizen power to drive progress on the urgent issues of our day.

Alan has the experience of driving change through engaging citizens and changing politics. As a citizen activist he has worked with Senator Kennedy and four U.S. Presidents to pass three major pieces of service-related legislation and to successfully rally a citizen movement for AmeriCorps. As Senator, Alan will make us very proud, and he will call upon us as engaged citizens to build a better commonwealth and a stronger country.

If you are convinced and will support Alan, please pass on this message to your friends and associates. Please write to me at ramkiyengar@hotmail.com
